Yes, New Year's Eve always compels me to sum up my year in a few blogger paragraphs.

I said that 2005 changed my life - people say that every year.
But now i know 2006 really did.
Something huge might happen in 2007, like i'll get awarded the Nobel Prize or decide to go to Navajo to do the humanitarian aid thing,
but for now, 2006. Hands down.

I mean, how can packing up 30kg worth of my life and moving to bumfuck clayton not be life-altering?

The beginning of 2006 had me pinning for you, cluelessly, naively, holding on just to let go. Day one of 2006, and i was already hooked. I vigilantly kept my distance, knowing you wanted your space, knowing all too well that even though we're following our hearts, where the hell does it lead to?

For me, it lead to Australia, putting the Indian Ocean between us. Well, i hope that's enough space for you.

I lost a love not to someone better, but to fucking destiny.
I lost you amidst dense fumes of betrayal.
Fumes that stung my eyes night after night
and made me well up with toxic tears.

So i played the field like a well-oiled cog, figuring if you'd moved on good, i've moved on better.

I eventually did, only a painstaking 9 months later.

I think i have enough baggage to start an airline. Haha.

And in 2006 i met wonderful people. You know, i've always heard about how malicious and unkind some people can get, but i never really understood it because i've never had such unpleasant experiences.

All my friends are NICE, GORGEOUS AND SEXY.

:)))))

Is our saga finally over?
